6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Crochet ClubTime: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
This is open to all levels of crocheters. Come and learn how to crochet, learn new stitches or just work on your existing projects. It’s really all up to you.
If you have your own yarn and hooks, great! Bring them.
If you don’t have any supplies, but want to buy them here are my suggestions. Pick a size 4 yarn (it’ll say it on the label) in a light color. Darker colors are harder to learn with. You can choose a solid color or a variegated yarn, but make sure the variegated doesn’t have any dark colors in it. You should also buy a size H hook. One skein of yarn and one hook should run about $5 and is more than sufficient to learn the craft.
If you don’t have supplies and you’re not sure if you want to invest in them, that’s okay too. We will have a limited supply of yarn and hooks for you to borrow.

Words From Todd

What does “Community” mean to you?

What does “Community” mean to you? This is a question I like to ask on the regular. Jolene Gibson is what it means right now. The out pouring from the Community has been great! Jolene is a spunky, stubborn, outgoing, impatient and beautiful one-year old little girl. She was welcomed into this world at 32 weeks. She has four older siblings and two amazing parents. Jolene has been diagnosed with Rhabdoid Cancer. In the last few weeks I have seen so many awesome acts of kindness , love and support for this family. A Go Fund Me organized by a family friend is up to $7,121!!!!! Love and Prayers for Jolene Go Fund Me. Other great things have happened too! The ladies I refer to as #TeamJolene are kicking tail!! They were able to get all new tires for Mom’s Van!!  Friendly City Games held a Magic The Gathering Event and Contributed $300 to the Go Fund ME! Friendly City Games Facebook Page .Even Jolene’s favorite show Beat Bugs got in on the Go Fund Me with $150!! Beat Bug’s Facebook Page. So many loving people stepping up! So many others have donated on the Go Fund Me as well!! Thank You All!!!

There are so many people to thank and I will In due time! Stay tuned for more!!

Spread the love

A quick Word.

Just wanted to take a few to share this new thing I am going to do. I will try as frequently as possible to share new ideas and thoughts that I may have as well as other updates and such that I feel you may want to know. Currently, I have added what I call Shout Out’s . This is basically free advertising for those who have helped or who are helping us. It’s not a whole lot but, whatever we can do to help those who have helped us!! The further along BCCC moves,  the more I find the need to be able to connect outside of social media. This is why I have added this Words From Todd section. This is where I will share things as well.  You will see some new things happening with BCCC.

Make A Donation

We are excited to a announce our Go Fund Me Campaign!

Being a new organization, we want to establish not only strong connections with our community, but we want to establish the best business practices.

As with any business (non-profit or not), there are costs. Just a small part of what we do includes helping others in need. Above and beyond that aspect, we want to be able to steward our volunteers for their help, as well as continue to grow our outreach through new and exciting programming.  We know that the scope of need far surpasses donated items.
